Little kicks as I drifted off to sleep...
I felt the most amazing little 'pokes' (aka kicks) coming from my belly as I went to sleep last night. I had a perma-grin on my face as I fell asleep. It was THE COOLEST feeling to have a little human reaching out to let me know she's doing alright and just reminding me she's there! I loved every second of it. She just started kicking again this afternoon and it reminded me to post this blog real quick! More 'milestone moments' to come!

It's a GIRL!
She's due on the 4th of July - our due date has stayed the same throughout this entire process...and what a cool due date it is! This summer is going to be full of fun for us as we grow our family, and we are over the moon excited about having a little baby girl.
The ultrasound was such an amazing experience. She had herself positioned perfectly for the ultrasound tech to determine that it was actually a 'she' within the first 10 seconds of the ultrasound. She had the hicups during the ultrasound and it was the cutest thing to watch her little belly bounce every so often with another little 'hic-cup'!
She was moving all around, with her arms above her head making the 'sooooo big' sign, and then her arms would cover her mouth, it was incredible to watch. She would turn around and show us her backside and then she'd just hang out and let the technician take all the measurements...such a well behaved little girl already! ;o)
We can't wait to start buying gender specific items now - I am in awe to now be able to say 'she' and 'her' and refer to the baby as something other than 'it' or 'the baby'.
We will keep you posted on more fun stuff to come!
