We bought baby bedding for Izzy this week. (We are thinking Isabella Mae Kavanaugh and have already started calling her Izzy) It is by far the coolest baby girl bedding I have EVER seen, I absolutely love it! I think I love it because it's not the traditional pastel stuff, it's FUN! We got the 10 piece bedding set with the diaper holder, the clothes hamper, 2 window valances, and the wall hangings. I plan to buy a 'rose damask' stencil and put that same pattern on the walls. My sister has agreed to paint a few quotes on the walls as well, her hand writing is so beautiful and I am completely the quote girl, so it'll be fun to see it all come together.
Dave also surprised me with a new 'travel system' when I got home from work on Tuesday night. It's the infant car seat with the matching jogger stroller in grey and light green, it's awesome! So we are officially done buying the big stuff for a little while, it just feels good to buy things bit by bit so it's not so overwhelming towards the end of the pregnancy with all that we still need.
Izzy's an active little bugger, she kicks a lot. Every morning after I have breakfast she gets a little workout session in of some kicks and punches while I'm sitting at my desk at work, and then in the afternoon she'll start right up again. I'm glad she's getting a decent exercise regimine in my belly! I love feeling her kick though, it's the most amazing and surprising thing to feel her twirling around in there getting comfortable and making her little body stronger.
One very sweet thing I have to share on here, we were going to bed last night and Dave whispered to my belly 'I love you' and my heart completely melted right then and there (yes, of course there were tears...happy ones). It was another reality check that there's a little person in me! I'm going to be 24 weeks tomorrow and I'm still getting daily reality checks that I'm actually pregnant and we're having a baby! I can't wait til July!
