Izzy's around 2 pounds this week and a little over 15 inches long (from her head to her toes), according to my pregnancy books. She kicks a lot and tickles my belly which is the most comforting feeling in the world, knowing that she's doing ok!
We're working on our healthy food diet and she seems to be liking what food I'm picking out for her to eat. I lost 5 pounds this past week from the drastic changes in my diet (mainly eating much less carbs). So the Dr. suggested I up my carb count so I'm not continuously hungry and restricted from a lot of the foods I like to eat. (I even have to measure how much fruit intake I have, crazy huh?!)
We had a Dr. appointment on Monday afternoon of this week and the Dr. said with gestational diabetes she won't let me go over my due date by more than 4 days, and then she would have me induced. So at the very most, it will be 84 days until Izzy gets here! Starting at 32 weeks, I will be going into the Dr. bi-weekly to get hooked up to a baby monitor and they will check her heart rate and all other vitals they need to make sure she's doing ok in there. We will have another ultrasound at 36 weeks and we're on the downhill slide at that point!
Also, an FYI for those that have baby clothes they need to get rid of or clothes/highchairs/cribs/changing tables/furniture/toys/ or other items they are 'hunting for', please check out my friend Kim's website. She is putting on a ginormous sale over Mother's Day weekend at the Eden Prairie Ice Rink (rink 3), and we would love for you to attend or pass on the word to other Mom's/friends that are into 'recycling' gently used clothing and finding great bargains for your kids/neices/nephews/etc.! http://bloomington.jbfsale.com/ I'll be working the sale Friday, May 8th from 5 to 9pm, so stop by and see Izzy and I and find some good deals!
